TAKE, TAKE, TAKE
The Official Unofficial White Stripes Fan Site.
In the weeks to come, I plan to add more content to this site. It will focus less on the Thunder Bay show from 2007 (we must move on) and more on general White Stripey type stuff.
Little Ghost
As Ugly As I Seem
Jack White playing at the Thunder Bay Community Bay Auditorium, located at 1 Paul Schaffer Drive, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, on July 3rd, 2007. This show was right in the heart of the Canadian leg of the tour. The White Stripes played every Province and Territory in Canada. The tour was distinguished by the "Secret Shows" the band played at most of its Canadian stops. Among other places, the band played on a bus in Winnipeg, a bowling alley in Saskatchewan, and on the back of a boat on Prince Edward Island. At our show, they opened the arena at about 5 in the afternoon and let the early arrivers into the auditorium for a three song "sound check." There were only about 30 of us in there, standing around slack jawed in front of the stage while the White Stripes played "Icky Thump", "Do", and "A Martyr For My Love For You." As they were leaving the stage, Jack came back, took Meg's drum sticks and tossed them into the crowd. I had Meg's stick literally in the palm of my hand, but it bounced off and some quick curly haired youth pounced up onto the stage and snatched it. So close!
We showed up 3 hours before the doors opened and were rewarded by getting in the front row. It was a very civilized mosh pit.
Was this their last tour?
